How is Game Of Thrones marketed and promoted?

Its network company is HBO. HBO is an American premium cable and satellite television network that is owned by Home Box Office Inc. adapted from the novel Game Of Thrones written by George RR Martin. 

Game of thrones is exhibited on Sky Atlantic. Also shown on The video on demand system called Netflix. There are 6 series in Game Of Thrones (G.O.T). G.O.T is rated 9.5 out of 10 on IMDB and rated 94% on Rotten Tomatoes. G.O.T also has there own youtube channel with 7, 467 subscribers. You have to pay for each episode. It is about £2 each to watch an episode. 

It is shown on sky on demand and it is on sky adverts with Sky bundles which you can purchase. Sky make special deals with their customers, such as you ca get sky sports with sky atlantic for a specific amount of money. 

They sell their merchandise on a website called EMP. This includes T-shirts, mugs, games, toys and posters. They also sell on various other websites such as amazon and Ebay. This therefore makes the TV show a brand its self. 

They have their own twitter with 3.2 million followers and it's most recent trailer for series 6 with 25K retweets and 21K likes. They have various interviews on it with the cast members. The cast members are interviewed on good morning America. There are different hashtags to get many people trending and involved in the program for example #GOTpowerplays. They have accounts for fictitious characters. 

 HBO launched #TakeTheThrone, an interactive social contest that could land one lucky fan tickets to ComicCon 2014.
