MAN SHOUTS ALLA AKBAB AS HE STABS A MED WAY VICTIM

A man shouted “Allahu Akbar” after stabbing a teenager in the back in picturesque gardens in Canterbury. Alban Hetemi, 20, uttered the words – which mean “God is great” in Arabic – after plunging the weapon into Sayed Hossani. The incident happened in Westgate Gardens in April as the 19-year-old victim was sitting on a park bench with friends Samir Mohammed and Kate Kennett. 

As women and children watched, Albanian drug dealer Hetemi walked up to the group at 5.45pm, grabbed Ms Kennett’s hair and pulled her head aside so he could attack rival Mr Hossani. After chasing and stabbing him, the victim said Hetemi shouted “Allahu Akbar” before telling him: “I don’t want to see you in Canterbury!” Prosecutor Paul Valder told Canterbury Crown Court: “Mr Hossani fled for his life with the defendant in pursuit, still holding the combat knife and shouting for him to stop. 

Mr Hossani managed to get as far as St Peter’s Street before collapsing and the defendant returned to his car, which had been parked in Pound Lane and drove away. The victim, who lives in Medway, called the emergency services and was taken to the William Harvey Hospital, where surgeons treated a back wound and removed two litres of blood from one of his lungs. Mr Valder added that the knife - which had been bought in the city minutes earlier - had penetrated the chest cavity and punctured a lung, with the injuries requiring emergency surgery.

Police searching for the knifeman viewed CCTV and spotted him getting into a VW Golf and the following morning the vehicle was stopped in Clement Close, Canterbury . Officers found a black lock knife in the vehicle which had been bought from Golding Surplus store in Canterbury for £15. Mr Valder said: “When officers found the weapon, the defendant said words to the effect of: ‘Do you think I am the world’s dumbest criminal? Do you think that was the knife from the stabbing?’ 

In fact it was the defendants knife because it had blood stains on it. police also found three bags of herbal cannabis in his car. I believe that this is a terrible event. i think that tabloids will use the quote Alla Akbab in their title of the article. The news article i found it off was Britain First face book page. Britains first is a jingoistic party which thrives to preserve britains accentral ethnic and cultural heritage. "We oppose the colonisation of our homeland through immigration and support the maintenance of the indigenous British people as the demographic majority within our own homeland" this is from their face book page. There title for this article was "ANOTHER ANGLOPHOBIC ATTACK, THIS TIME IN KENT..." They are using "another" to show people that it has happened already. They are using the hypodermic needle theory and wanting people to believe that it will  happen again unless they support them and their cause.

New Zealand helicopter crash

Police in New Zealand have named four British tourists killed in a helicopter crash on the Fox Glacier. They are Andrew Virco, 50, and Katharine Walker, 51, from Cambridge, and Nigel and Helen Charlton, aged 66 and 70, from Hampshire. The aircraft crashed in a crevasse on the glacier, on New Zealand's South Island, on Saturday morning.The crash site is on the island's remote west coast, which is a popular tourist area. Also among the dead are Sovannmony Leang, 27, and Josephine Gibson, 29, both from New South Wales, Australia, and pilot Mitchell Gameren, 28, from Queenstown, New Zealand. 

Rebecca Walker, 22, said her mother, Katharine, had a "special spin on life". "She worked hard and she played hard. She affected so many people in so many good ways," she told the BBC. She added that the couple's "big adventure" to New Zealand was to celebrate turning 50. Colleagues of Ms Walker, who was head of radiotherapy at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, are said to be "devastated" by her death. Ms Walker was a "much respected member of staff" who had worked at Addenbrooke's for 23 years, Cambridge University Hospitals said.The family of grandparents Mr and Mrs Charlton, who lived in the village of Dunbridge, near Romsey, said they were "deeply saddened". "They were very adventurous when it came to travel and this holiday was to be their last big adventure together," their statement said.

The bodies of three of the victims have now been recovered from the crash site and taken to a temporary mortuary facility nearby for formal identification, which New Zealand Police said may take a number of days. The recovery operation has been halted for the day after weather conditions at Fox Glacier deteriorated. Rescue teams in helicopters found no sign of survivors when they reached the crash site, rescue co-ordinators said. The cause of the crash is being investigated.

The Weekend

The week end is a film directed by Andrew Haigh. The genre is coming of age, drama and romance. it is a romance because the story revolves around two main protagonists who fall deeply in love with each other. it is coming of age because the main protagonist is on a self discovery journey and wants to express him self publicly as gay. Its a drama because the story relies heavily on realistic character and story development. The theme of the film are love, sexuality, relationships and acceptance. love is shown through out the scenes where the two main protagonists are having sex. Relationships theme is displayed through the the scenes where the two protagonists are together talking and deciding whether to be boyfriends. sexuality is a theme because the story line follows a gay man and gives the audience a feeling what it is like to be a gay man for a weekend. Acceptance is the final theme. all through out the film the main protagonist is scared about coming out being gay and how the sub protagonist is teaching him to be open about his sexuality. The film in summary is about a man named Russel who meets a man named Glen at a bar, has a one night stand with him and then spends the rest of the weekend with him and how they start to become inseparable.  

The micro feature sound I believe plays a big part in creating the illusion that the audience is in the moment with the characters. Through out the film there is no non diegetic sound track All through the film it is simply the noise which is going on around the characters. I'm not saying that all the noises which are going on around the characters are diegetic I'm saying that its all very common sounds you would here on a average day. For example when Russel, the main protagonist, is cycling down to his job in the morning. The noise of birds churpping, the sound the bike wheels riding on the ground and the noise of the car in front of him. This lack of sound track use is very minamilistic and the director is using it to create the illusion for the audience as though they are with characters in the film. The moment where there is a sound track. just before the final sex scene the song TC and Honey bear comes on. This song has a very slow rhythm and an acoustic guitar. i think the reason why Andrew Haigh wanted a song in this scene is because its there final night before glen has to depart and may be the final time they can have sex together. Therefore this soundtrack creates a romantic and sexy atmosphere. Even the sound track sounds like it is being played out a stereo system or a record player. therefore putting the audience as though they are in the same room as the characters. 

The Performance I believe was one of the most crucial micro features in the film. You can tell that the the two protagonists have a very close relationship by the proxemics between them two though out the film.  Within the second bar scene for glens leaving party Russel and Glen arnt scared to get very close to each other. I believe this to show that they have a sexual tension between them two and arn't scared to let it out in public. But Russel's physical interactions with glen are much less then glen's physical interactions with Russel. This to high light how Russel isn't as open about his sexuality because hes nervous what other people's reactions would be. In the scene where Russel answers Glen about how their night was Russel is nervous and feels very awkward. He is reluctant to speak and the rhythm of his speech is slow. Glen's ,on the other hand , speech rhythm is fast paced and he doesn't hesitate to ask Russel any question. The meaning of this is show that Glen is much more open about his sexuality and wants to spread the news about gay sex relationships and Russel is much more enclosed about his sexuality and scared about coming about publicly.

A man has been charged with murdering a teenager who was stabbed to death outside a friend's 16th birthday party.  

Calvin Tudor, 21, is accused of killing Che Labastida-Wellington, 17, in Kenton, north-west London. Che, of Harrow, was knifed in the chest in an alley in Belvedere Way on Sunday. Mr Tudor, of Kelly Close, Neasden, north-west London, is due before Barkingside Magistrates' Court later. He is also charged with the attempted murder of a 16-year-old boy. The 16-year-old was treated in hospital after being stabbed. Police said a fight had broken out before the stabbings, after a group of youths had tried to gain entry to the party. Che, an invited guest, was pronounced dead at about 01:30 , an hour after he was stabbed. Police are still questioning a 19-year-old man who was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of murder. Two boys aged 15 and 16 who were arrested on suspicion of murder have been bailed until mid-December. A third, aged 14, who was being held on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon, has been bailed to a date in early January.  

I believe that this is a horrible act of crime and the person who ever killed Che should have a life sentence. The boy in questioning should be given a fair trial as should everyone who is in a difficult situation in court. The article was published by the BBC. The group of boys shouldn’t have tried to gain entry into the party in the first place.

Corbyn accuses defence chief of political bias in nuclear row 

Jeremy Corbyn has accused the chief of the defence staff of political bias after he criticised the Labour leader's anti-nuclear stance. 

Gen Sir Nicholas Houghton told the BBC's Andrew Marr that refusing to launch nuclear weapons would "seriously undermine" Britain's "deterrent". And he said he would be worried if such a view "translated into power".

Mr Corbyn called on the defence secretary to "take action" against Sir Nicholas over his comments. In a statement, the Labour leader said: "It is a matter of serious concern that the chief of the defence staff has today intervened directly in issues of political dispute. "It is essential in a democracy that the military remains politically neutral at all times. "By publicly taking sides in current political arguments, Sir Nicholas Houghton has clearly breached that constitutional principle. Accordingly, I am writing to the defence secretary to ask him to take action to ensure that the neutrality of the armed forces is upheld." Mr Corbyn, a leading member of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, sparked a row with his shadow cabinet at his party's annual conference when he revealed that would never press the "nuclear button" - and he has since praised Scottish Labour's rejection of Trident. 

I am undecided about the whole decision to do with stopping the nuclear weapons. I do agree with Cobyn saying that if we cancel the nuclear weapons it could save a huge amount of money and also go towards the anti nuclear stance. But I also agree with the chief of defence when he says about how we need to stay protected at all times.  

Kerry Reeves murder: Police raid Abingdon flat in hunt for suspect Billy Johnson 

A flat has been raided in connection with the killing of a woman who was shot in the head, police have said- Armed police searched the property in Abingdon on Saturday in relation to the hunt for 20-year-old Billy Johnson.He has been named as a suspect in murder of Kerry Reeves, 26, who died on Thursday after being shot in the head in the Oxfordshire town on Tuesday.Thames Valley Police said no arrests were made in the raid in Welford Gardens. 

A west London man arrested on Friday on suspicion of murder has been released on bail. A police spokesman said the raid was part of an "ongoing investigation". He added  "We have received a number of calls from the public. "Detectives are busy following up on these leads and we are grateful for the help of the public in assisting us. "It is still vitally important that if anyone has information, especially in relation to Billy Johnson, that they contact us as soon as possible."  Mr Johnson is described as white, 5ft 8 inches, with very short brown hair and blue eyes. He has "mum" tattooed on his right arm and clouds and a tattoo on his right hand bearing the words "life is precious". Police said he has links to London, Corby in Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire. Chris Ward, head of the Thames Valley Police Major Crime Unit, said: "If you see Billy please do not approach him, instead call 999 immediately." 

Detectives have yet to locate the gun used in the shooting, which happened in Thornhill Walk.this was reported BBC news and the local Thames police are still trying to locate Mr. Johnson.  

Loughton street attack: Victim's hand 'may have been cut off 

A man who suffered "serious knife wounds" in an attack following a night out in Essex may have had his hand cut off. Police are questioning a man on suspicion of attempted murder following the attack in the High Road in Loughton at 23:30.  

The victim in his 20s suffered wounds which left him in a "life-changing condition", a police spokeswoman said. A large knife was found by officers at the scene, the force said. The victim had been on a night out with a group of friends but was then attacked in the street "by a group of three or four men", the spokeswoman added. A group is believed to have left the area in a black Audi A8 which was later found on fire in Waltham Abbey. 

One of the suspects, a 30-year-old man from Greys, was arrested after being chased by a police officer. The force added "Officers do not believe that this was a random incident and it may have been a targeted attack," 

This was a news article from BBC news website. My view on it is that it is a terrible event and I believe if you're going out with a group of people you should have planned at the beginning of the night a form of transportation back home.
